    Funny, weird and sometimes crazy mini series/TV film based on the Discworld book series by Terry Pratchett. I have not read the books, but i quite enjoyed this series. If you like freshly told adventure and fantasy with over the top humor and bizzareness, check it out.

    Noch hat es die als Buch überaus beliebte und erfolgreiche Discworld Serie nicht in die großen Kinosäle dieser Welt geschafft. Fans der Bücher müssen mit Videospielen, Comics und TV-Produktionen vorlieb nehmen. Bei letzteren mit leicht zugekniffenen Augen, um über die niedrigen Budgets hinwegsehen zu können.

    Die Handlung stammt aus den ersten beiden Büchern der Discworld Reihe: The Colour of Magic und The Light Fantastic. Der einzige Grund, warum der untalentierte Zauberer Rincewind (David Jason) überhaupt noch an der Unsichtbaren Universität residiert, ist der achte und letzte Zauberspruch des Octavo, ein Buch das die ultimativen Zauber enthält.     Just love Terry Pratchett's books and maybe because of that I felt like if those movies didn't make justice to the wonderfull multiverse made by Pratchett. I missed the the scene in the Temple of Bel-Shamharoth and the awesome dialogue about the number eigth and its importance during the story.

    Anyway, just loved Twoflowers and Rincewind, well played and pretty funny. Christofer Lee is the voice of Death and that's just an awesome surprise.
