Despite having delightful early roles for mobster stock players Frank Vincent and Joe Pesci, who were already typecast at the very beginnings of their respective identical careers, the main character in DEATH COLLECTOR is a lunkheaded Joe Cortese, an ostensible non-actor with the charisma of a car wash attendant. His is the archetypal character arc of Scarface and Little Caesar, only he is much more of an irredeemable dick than any of his counterparts. Pesci and Vincent stay on the sidelines, say very little, and are dispatched with lightning speed.
