Starts out like a solid little slow-burn psychological thriller, but takes a pretty strange/bad turn in the second half. It's never capitalized on and the film suffers greatly from it.
If you're going to pull a twist like that, you better know how to exploit its benefits. That certainly did not happen here. The whole third act is dull and completely anti-climactic.

A solid euro-thriller that finds its success in putting character and emotion above plot contortions and set pieces. It does have some issues in that it never quite makes you get fully behind its lead character, but the story is certainly interesting and the actors carry it well enough to keep you interested. The final act carries quite a cool twist but one that consigns all that takes place afterward to the level of vague boredom. A solidly well-made thriller: perfectly pleasant to watch unfold, wholly unlikely to be remembered very well come next week.

The memory tune "In Between Days" by The Cure plays an essential part of this (typically for Italian writers) well-plotted cronica nera.
No spoiler, but it's not as edgy as Woman in the Fifth, although it does deal with similar reality issues. Acting and staging not as good as that one.

Hermana de Everything Will be Fine, la realidad siempre es lo que parece, aunque parezca una fantasía de la mente.

This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Fascinating thriller from Spain. More De Palma than Hitchcock, which is of course the ultimate paradox. Keeps you guessing, but never feels contrived.

What a pleasant surprise! A quiet, well-acted, great-looking movie that kept surprising me all the way through. Just when I thought I knew where it was going, it changed course, but in a good way. I hesitate to give more detail except to say it defies description but is an extremely enjoyable thriller, among other things.

Hadn't heard of this one, but it was quite a haunting thriller. Halfway through things get very confusing and you aren't really sure what or who to believe. Which is the sign of a well orchestrated mystery. Many twists are finally wrapped up at the end which is sad and bittersweet. You never really know what the woman ,Sonia is actually feeling. The actress underplays it all so well. This ones in Italian, but reminded me of another recent French thriller: Tell NO ONe...Recommended.

This is an interesting, compelling Italian thriller with several twists along the way. The ending is a little unsatisfying, but other than that, it’s very good.
