1.5/10
With all due respect to mentally disabled people, this movie seems to have been made by a retarded guy. It was absolutely horrible and ridiculous in every possible way. Actually, if there was one thing that at least made me chuckle a couple of times was Seann William Scott, but just because I like the guy, not because of something related to this crap.

Okay, I was a huge fan of the show as a child, had the toys, etc etc. I may be biased, but this one was pretty good. I liked Knoxville and Scott as the Dukes, but it was Willie that stole the show: he was great. I even thought Simpson did alright, but her only real job in this film was to look hot, which she did.
The chase scenes were great and I even love the bit they did with that famous car in today's PC world.

It's nothing special, but there are some amusing stunts, and it's kind of a stealth Broken Lizard film, with most of those guys showing up at one point or another (including a fun SUPER TROOPERS scene reference with some campus cops).
Also, Burt! and Willie!

Thinking back to this film I wonder if having a better lead actor than Johnny Knoxville would have improved this film. The answer would probably be no, but it might have helped.
The film fails to capture what the TV show did - the right blend of humour and action. Instead the jokes are preticable and the action is poor at best. -
Did anyone think this was going to be the next Amadeus or Schindler's List when they saw it? No. It does though,do exactly what it says on the tin,it makes you smile and transports you back to the eighties and a time when a cool car and a hot chick were all that mattered.
This return to a series and those ideas of tongue-in-cheek humour ,and lets face it an iconic car known the world over this delivered what anyone… -
The world has misjudged this film because they are not the audience for it. They don't get it, and it's not their fault.
See, there's a group of people who don't care for the idea of the Dukes. They're not amused one bit. This film is not for them.
Then there's a group of people who grew up liking the show. But they grew up on seasons 2-7, when the boys were honorable, Roscoe was an idiot, Jesse was a…

I don't have any connection to the original tv series whatsoever. I have seen a few clips, might recognise a few actors in it if they were shown to me but other than that, it's not something I could identify with. So I basically went into this film without any knowledge/baggage (however you want to look at it).
What I am then presented with is a rather silly, occasionally funny, kinda bland buddy-movie. Knoxville and Scott seemed to have good…

I agree with Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse and maybe even Jonny Knoxville as Luke Duke but the rest of the cast no way. Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg? I dont think so, there is a reason his name was Hogg because he was fat! Stiffler as Bo he was ok but no they should have found someone else. The guy that played Rosco was horrible, no where near as good as the Rosco from the show. Enus was fine…

It's the General Lee, Johnny Knoxville, and Sean William Scott! It's decent, but Daisy's a brunette not a blonde! I mean come on people!
