You get great and funny performances from a really talented ensemble cast that includes Hope Davis, Dermot Mulroney, Chi McBride, Selma Blair, Keith Carradine, Christina Hendricks, and Jane Seymour, and (oddly enough) Bow Wow. There are some funny, smart, and even hilarious moments in this film. My main problem is that it felt like too much like a tv show. What a large cast of characters this has. It may seem like it's trying to do too much but I manage to like and enjoy this black comic tale that's supposed to be about the mom of a family getting amnesia and her changing her bad ways, but it's mostly about the other members of the family and the odd things they get involved with. There's certainly some adult humor if that is your thing, especially the great gag in the opening minutes.
