First she's getting tattoos, then she's playing with fire, and now she's kicking hornet nests?

Hey The Girl, why don't you just chill the fuck out? Try a hobby. Maybe build some tiny boats and put them in bottles or some shit. Geez.

I don't blame them for struggling to adapt the third novel. Even at three hours, it's way too complex a story to get into film format. If I hadn't read the book, I think I'd have been confused about the characters -- both good guys and bad.

Still, bow down to Noomi Rapace. Astonishing.

A worthy end to the trilogy with again an excellent Noomi Rapace. She has the capabilities to act convincingly without having to talk. Nowadays that is a rare quality within an actor or actress but she has me convinced that she is the real Lisbeth Salander

Luftslottet som sprängdes follows Män som hatar kvinnor and Flickan som lekte med elden. I know that it was poorly received by critics, and I guess that reviewers here won't be fond of it, but I found it an exciting story, and a satisfying end to the trilogy; for me the weakest part of the trilogy was the second film. Michael Nyqvist was again excellent as Mikael Blomkvist, and Annika Hallin who played his sister, Lisbeth Salander's lawyer was also…

Noomi Rapace is just wonderful in this entire series.
Michael Nyvqist deserves kudos as well, but Noomi had a more memorable character to play and she really plays the hell out of her.
This final chapter of the series closes out well. I liked the dramatic shifts from one act to another and I thought the ending was rather effortlessly beautiful in a way.
I really enjoyed this extremely character driven trilogy.

The second best in Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy of novels concerning the rocky relationship between journalist Mickael Blomkvist and hacker Lisbeth Salander unsurprisingly makes for the second best of the movies too. Whereas Dragon Tattoo was a character establishing self contained effort that was stunningly adapted, it's follow up. Played with Fire, was largely a rather dull set up for this installment. Hornet's Nest doesn't contain the mystery of Dragon Tattoo but does manage to deliver a fitting conclusion for…

The final part of Millennium and the series finally leaps into fantasy with several rather unbelievable, Hollywood-esque moments. Still extremely likeable, and with a lot less waffle than the previous two films, too much of the movie is still spent on tying up loose ends and making sure that the ending will leave everyone satisfied.

To criticise it too much for this is a little harsh, as the real fault lies in the structure of the original stories, but nevertheless…

The final film in Stieg Larson's Millenium trilogy keeps the high standard of the previous two. Marginally better than the second installment, but not quite as good as the first film. Rapace and Nykvist not only continue their excellent work, but manage to finish off in style. The only thing I am sad about is that this is the final film... I want more!!!

A barrage of plot holes inside an overwhelmingly nonsensical script. The 1980's sensibility towards "hacking" doesn't help either.

Disappointing end to what seemed like it would be a great trilogy. After what was a great detective film then a debatable follow up with occasional ridiculous aspects, it all comes to a conclusion with a very dull court case.
The thing that made The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo great was how it constantly had you guessing and throwing up new plot twists all the time but all this is out the window with this film which gives virtually…

Like many trilogies, the third is the weakest of the set. It is tough to finish a trilogy strong. We (almost?) always watch the final film to see the story completed and what happens to the characters that we have grown to know (at least in this case the movie version since I recently finished the books), and walk away (a little?) disappointed.

While a solid movie in style and performance, like the earlier films, this one, just as I…
