Was this a made for TV film? Sure looks like it.
I didn't know hot Russian girls were capable of such many voices.
Makes looking at her barely clothed body while listening to the nonsense spilling out of her mouth quite uncomfortable.
Nick Nolte needs take a break and stop swallowing cactus needles.

Good heist drama by Neil Jordan (a good director) about a washed up, junkie robber living out his days in France, until he gets himself clean and takes on "one last job". It's naturalistic, Nick Nolte (one of the great character actors) is superb as the ageing thief but it never really reaches great heights. Nicely atmospheric hiest thriller based on Jean Pierre Melville's Bob d' Flambeur, Nick Nolte is good as Bob, gambler, ex-con and junkie.
I haven't watched Bob d' Flambeur but I will check it out at some piont.

Couldn't make head or tail of it largely due to Nolte's unfathomable accent.

Nicely rumpled, playful, melancholy air, with a gorgeous lead actress - who seems to have disappeared from movies - undone slightly by the too-neat ending.
