Reviews of The Invasion 2007

The fourth Body snatcher Film. very, very middle of the road, but, I realy like it. Although i would of liked it to of been more sinister

Yes another remake of this story, but this one had my favorite actress Kidman in it, so I still enjoyed it. She and Craig are fantastic, but this may be the male side of me may have been the reason I was really distracted by Kidman's chest throughout the film. He boobs look massive and amazing, but the fact they are so crazy distracting can ruin her performance. It always stands out to me when I watch this film.

Überflüssiges Remake ist überflüssig.

I didn't hate it but at the same time I didn't love it, this was very middle of the road

I think all of the Invasion of the Body Snatchers movies are very scary. And this one, simply titled The Invasion, is rather scary. Particularly in the early scenes, the movie does a great job of growing terror and allowing the virus to slowly seep into the social structure of Nicole Kidman's town. We see Kidman walking/driving through streets and just out of view, she witnesses a traffic accident, a crying pedestrian - it's subtlety like this that makes a…

This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I like Nicole Kidman. I sort of like Daniel Craig. I like Invasion of the Body Snatchers (both the '56 and the '78 versions.) I like this.
It's nothing special, the plot is very plodding moving from point A to point B with no massive surprises along the way, but it's a good story. The characters are familiar but have a different spin on them and the performances are all solid.
It feels like a BBC 2 or 3 episode long sci-fi drama squashed down to 90 minutes with a big star actress in the lead role. Not a particularly bad thing, in my opinion.

B
Dramatically muted and sparse but pulls through with an artistry to both of those aspects. A game Nicole Kidman anchors it. Daniel Craig is in there somewhere, back when he was working off scripts germinated from original ideas. (70%)

Did we really need ANOTHER remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers? The answer is no, unfortunately they made one anyway and it sucked. People act so damn weird in this movie it’s hard to take anything serious. The way they respond to situations is just off. If a census taker comes to your house in the middle of the night to talk, you tell him to toss off, his face turns all crazy alien and he tries to break…
