The Kid
2000 Directed by Jon Turteltaub
Synopsis
Nobody ever grows up quite like they imagined.
Powerful businessman Russ Duritz is self-absorbed and immersed in his work. But by the magic of the moon, he meets Rusty, a chubby, charming 8-year-old version of himself who can't believe he could turn out so badly -- with no life and no dog. With Rusty's help, Russ is able to reconcile the person he used to dream of being with the man he's actually become.

This is the movie that made me fall in love with Emily Mortimer and not feel so bad about biting my nails, because she bit her nail and was still the most adorable person ever.

Rewatched this today. Haven't seen it since I was a kid. The story is really bad and not plausible at all. Bruce acts terrible, but all in all its a decent family film.

For the last few years when I heard of this film, I always thought of the red plane, I couldn't remember anything else, just that red plane. Not a bad movie, but in the long run not too memorable. I'll always remember that red plane though

Like the most heartwarming extended Twilight Zone episode ever. Actually, it's a light and funny film with decent comedy from Bruce and better from Breslin.
