Standard Sparks schlock, this time with a precocious younger brother and a subplot about sea turtles! Miley's acting is unsurprisingly not great and Greg Kinnear seems immovably bored. Liam Hemsworth is cute but that's about it. Overall I'd classified this movie as watchable but just barely.

I mean what is there to say? This movie sucks. Miley is not a good actress. It's easy to go into a movie like this with a bad attitude but I honestly went into it neutral, like maybe I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover type of attitude. But no dice. I didn't need a bad attitude to hate this movie, it self destructed on it's own. Bad.

Sad, romantic and touching, this is a really good movie! Good movie to watch with your girls! But have the tissues ready!

It's Sparks, so you know what you're in for.... tears, tears and some more tears.

The story is actually really good, and the Kinnear subplot totally works, and the movie even looks good.
The issue that keeps this film average at best is the very poor acting from Cyrus. She is just awful at time.

"Love is fragile. And we're not always its best caretakers. We just muddle through and do the best we can. And hope this fragile thing survives against all odds."

This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

"This was terrible, a story about beautiful people doing things the poor plot told them to do. Some of the acting wasn't too bad, Miley Cyrus in particular surprised me by not being completely awful but I couldn't recommend it to anyone except a Cyrus fanboy."
