Even though it is my least favourite in the trilogy, it's still a stunning and epic film.
Everything we've come to expect so far is present here as well and is done to the highest of standards. The way the plot makes headway towards its epic final battle is as beautifully paced as it is engrossing.
The army of the dead, the final fight with the Nazgul, the display of brotherhood on the battlefield and the emergence of the true heroes of the story (Sam and Aragorn) make me invest emotionally in this film, while always keeping the adrenaline levels and excitement at pitch perfect levels. I especially love the almost Shakespearean approach to the story arc around the last…

And there we have it. The end of the trilogy. Okay, most of you finished watching the trilogy years ago, but somehow I've never seen them before so there. Anyway, yeah. This is probably the second best in trilogy after 'Fellowship' and manages to finish the series perfectly. The scenery is once again beautiful (I really want to go New Zealand now...), the effects are once again incredible and the battle sequences...just wow. The camerawork is also outstanding in those scenes, making you feel every arrow hit, every blow from a sword. Actually, it's outstanding all of the time. As is everything about it.
This is now one of my favourite trilogies of all time. *logs onto Amazon*

The extended editions of The Lord of the Rings trilogy have thus far been worthy of the effort expended in watching the three hour plus running time, but that goodwill threatens to erode with The Return of the King, the grande climax of JRR Tolkien's epic tale. For while it is yet again a magnificent achievement and a stunning finale, Peter Jackson perhaps offers up simply too much to warrant here the almost four hour length.
It takes a glacial age for several of the narratives to really kick into gear, especially the Frodo/Sam/Gollum plot that goes around in circles for a good 90 minutes, while Jackson concerns himself with spending much of the first two hours bridging from The…

Good but Frodo and Sam's departing on the secret stairs too hard & heartbreaking even though Sam is a real hero with his nemesis Gollum, the fight with a Shelob and rescuing Frodo from the Orcs makes him a lot more braver then other Hobbits.
The darkest, the longest and the most beautiful epic finales of the The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, Yet the story is confusing does the Trilogy focus on Aragorn or Frodo besides any main characters when two heroes fight againest The Ring Of Power?.

I went back to see this in theaters on this date for an unprecedented (for me) 3rd time. What was incredible was how it still so completely worked on an emotional level. It moved me just as much, if not more so, than when I had seen it for the first time. That's when I became convinced that this was truly one of my favorite movies of all time.
