The Jurassic Park movies were a huge part of my childhood, and while I loved both, I gravitated towards 'The Lost World'. It was just way cooler; there were more dinosaurs and more action, and as a kid, you can't ask for anything more.

As I grew up, I was able to appreciate 'The Lost World' in different ways. The themes of naturalism and the overall story of a bunch of corporate thugs wanting to exploit a lost world made…

I love Jurassic Park… it’s one of my favorite films of all time. Actually, my second favorite film franchise. I know the film could be corny at time, but they really did an awesome job with the animatronics and CGI in this film. The movie, for those of you who have not seen it, this movie has a good ratio of action, suspense and drama. We watched this on laserdisc, even broke the seal on a brand spanking new copy.

Went to the opening night midnight screening of this one. I was probably never more excited for anything in my life. I'm sure I loved it even though I still realized it wasn't as good as the first one.

Part of The December Project: My Waterloo.

Oh come on, you heartless bastards. How can anyone give this a hard time?...

So it's not as good as the original. But that is mainly due to the fact that the whole initial "wow" factor is gone, but that's not its fault. The Lost World does what any great sequel needs to do, it cranks everything up to 11.

The special effects, mainly, hold up pretty well. The action is GREAT, to…

Jeff Goldblum returns as Dr. Ian Malcolm in The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and this time hes the main focus of the movie. I know a lot of people had a problem with this and expected the returns of Sam Neill but that's going to have to wait since the good sequel for Jurassic Park goes to the character that stole show in the last movie, or at least the one that wasn't a dinosaur anyways. Goldblum is once again…

Very underrated and under-appreciated. Not quite on the level of the original, but this is a seriously entertaining, well-made movie. Two of the action sequences are better than the sequences in the original, with Spielberg creating some truly suspenseful moments (awesome use of glass). The story and some scenes do get a little cheesy and over-the-top at times, especially at the end, but it didn't really detract from the overall movie much. Also, while I love John Williams main Jurassic…
