It's fine if you don't like this movie, but it probably means you're an angry, hate-filled asshole, and fuck you.
I AM A MUPPET REBORN!!!!!!!
What's not to like about The Muppets? Funny, charming and endearing The Muppets work on all levels for all ages. This isn't the funniest film i've seen BUT I can't remember the last time I sat watching a film with a smile on my face for the whole 90mins.
All The Muppets gang are here including new edition Walter and I must say he is rather adorable. Jason Segel and Amy Adams are an item who are very twee and…
I do not condone a man to have sexual relations with a muppet.
It's like beastiality when you think about it.
In the first, maybe, fifteen minutes of The Muppets I kept feeling like I was going to cry! I didn't forget about you, Kermit!!!! It doesn't help that I recently watched a "goodbye" special dedicated to Jim Henson from the early 1990s, shortly after his death.
The comedy was pretty funny at times and I actually enjoyed the catchy songs as well! There were a lot of references to various 1980s pop culture that may have been a bit too…
Yorn desh born, der ritt de gitt der gue,
Orn desh, dee born desh, de umn,
bork! bork! bork!
... At which point, upon completion of my happy little tune, I attempt to cook a live turkey with a toothbrush, a circular saw, and a shotgun.
Pure cinematic joy really.
Made by people who obviously love the source material with a passion, this manages to be both colourful fun for the kids while still retaining enough for adults with some 4th wall breaking and a genuinely surreal few song-and-dance moments.
I will mark the film down slightly as Walter the lead muppet of the film just isn't as interesting as the others, though his arc is solid, and Jason Segal at times looks a little...... retarded…
If you've ever loved the muppets, then YOU NEED TO SEE THIS. Everything about this was perfect! It was funny, nostalgic and made me feel like I was a kid again!
My inner child had me smiling throughout this heart warming adventure in which the Muppets are funny, silly and totally endearing. Filled with catchy songs and cameos galore. Come on, even Waldorf and Statler would have a hard time faulting this charming blast from the past. Probably my favorite film of 2011.
The Nostalgic triumph that we all knew we wanted. Succeed's at pretty much everything. Laughter, tears, wonderful songs to sing along too and some fantastic cameos to boot.
Great having the gang back and this world is a better place with the muppets back where they belong. Always was and always will be
The director of this film called it an "experiment in the language of pure cinema." Since it was voted #8 on the Sight and Sound poll and is known for its avant-garde style, I was expecting this movie go over my head but I ended up liking it a lot. This was largely due to the soundtrack by the Alloy Orchestra. The drums especially made the film exciting.
Dziga Vertov skips the formalities of "normal" movies and just shows the viewer cool things. So many great sequences.
"Am I a man or am I a Muppet?
If I'm a Muppet then I'm a very manly Muppet.
Am I a Muppet or am I a man?
If I'm a man that makes me a Muppet of a man"
Ne'er a more true set of words spoken.
