Excelente e surpreendente.

One of the great genre-pieces of the early 21st Century.

Esmu redzējusi vismaz trīsreiz. Dažas filmas nenoveco. Šo skatīties joprojām bauda. Protams, baiļu efekts izpaliek, jo sižets jau zināms, bet atmosfēra joprojām laba. Cienu Kidmenas aktierdarbu.

Movies "Other" and "The Sixth Sense", of course, have a similar idea, but ... Such movies are perhaps only two.
One of the best roles of Nicole Kidman. -
I just bought this on blu ray and rewatched it for the first time in years. I was incredibly impressed, as a fan of the film, at how enjoyable the movie still is even once you know the twist. I think Nicole Kidman gives a riveting performance and the two children are just out of this world.

Primeiro filme de suspense da minha vida, devo ter assistido com uns 10 anos! Fiquei impressionada com as escuridao e os takes rapidos na época

Even after a second viewing this movie works perfectly. The atmosphere is dense, perfectly photographed and nicole kidman does a good job as a religious but also very nervous mother. This one gives you the creeps...

So underrated...an excellent ghost story.

O melhor filme de suspense de todos os tempos!!

As far as films about ghosts go over the last thirty years, a clear tie lands between M. Night Shyamalan's breakthrough blockbuster THE SIXTH SENSE and this lesser seen, but equally strong American-Spanish co-production. While Shyamalan's film aims to be a strong, multi-thread, yarn with supernatural elements, this film is a classic, full-forced and trope-rich bullseye attempt at the ultimate haunted house movie and it achieves this in spades.
Tension and dread come in waves as we watch an amazingly…

The horror falls flat a fair bit, but like last year's Cabin in the Woods, the horror isn't what we're here for. Nicole Kidman's lead performance is beautiful and terrifying, and the end plot twist is nowhere as predictable as I first guessed it would be. Even the child actors are above the norm, though considering other child actors, that's not saying much. Even the opening credits are beautiful and definitely would be in my top five if I ever…
