I thought this one looked to have a lot of potential. Not only was it good, it was outright excellent. I dare say this is the best film Disney has put out in two decades. You've got that wonderful, traditional (well, post Beauty and the Beast-era traditional) hand drawn animation, characters you can latch onto and love, song numbers that are catchy without being too hokey, a brilliant villain in Keith David, beautifully rendered environments and all the color of New Orleans. If there's anything even slightly amiss about this one, it's that there is quite an overabundance of characters, as you can probably tell from the poster. But they're all handled and juggled well enough to work, and I was happy to find what could've been a goofy frog movie held its own even when things got silly. This is everything about Disney done right; classic tales in new settings with traditional means by modern talents.

A really nice piece of film-making by Disney. All the hallmarks and literary devices of classic fairytales, but transposed into the refreshing setting of twentieth century New Orleans.
I loved the music, I thought the characters were rich and well-written (particularly the story arc of Ray, the hopeless romantic Cajun firefly) and the film offers one of Disney's most abhorrent villains in The Shadow Man.
Nice also to see Disney return to the 2D format.

A welcome return to traditional animation. One could surely accuse it of being a retread, trying to channel the songs and magic of old. However, why complain when it's this successful? Treated to fun, lovable characters and creatures, I smiled all the way through the familiar but always inventively and entertainingly told story. It's been a while since I've seen the classics but 'The Princess and the Frog' might end up being one of my Disney favorites. It was just about, ahem, froggin' perfect. More in this delightful vein, please.

There's nothing quite like a Disney film & no other quite like this. I loved the setting of New Orleans, the array of infectiously likable characters (especially Ray) & the stunning visuals.
One of my new favourites.

The story doesn't match up to Disney's best, slowing too much in the middle acts, but the animation and music are simply excellent. Full review here

Not only is this movie adorable and hilarious, the soundrack is amazing. Disney movies have a reputation for good musical numbers, but this time, they surpassed themselves. This film puts a fresh spin on an old tale. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Loved the Randy Newman songs in this film. The return to traditional animation was also nice.

Nothing about this "ground-breaking" project feels authentic or rewarding.

Not one of the best Disney films, but The Princess and the Frog is a beautifully animated, stirring fantasy romance. Great score from Randy Newman.

Nothing beats a good Disney movie every once in a while. Especially if it's this one! The comedy is really the best and it's full of songs to sing along! :D
Not to mention I truly love disney for being a bit old-fashioned and not taking it the easy way (hah, see what I did there? haha) by actually making this movie by drawing each shot! -
A tale about finding what you need, not just what you want, The Princess and the Frog delivers on Disney princess fun. The music is fantastic and has an awesome jazzy flair to it. The characters are fun as well and some of their subplots might be the most memorable in Disney history (looking at you Raymond and Evangeline).
The Princess and the Frog delivers on everything it tries to be and it is definitely worth your time. A classic slice of Disney.

I think this was the worst Disney Movie I have ever seen and the german voice actors did a really bad job - annoying as hell.

A fun and cute movie...not my absolute favorite Disney film, but it's a fun one nonetheless. I like the New Orleans setting and the animation (esp. when it changes style when she dreams about her restaurant). Great for Mardi Gras for those of us who are not party animals!
