These are all my all time favourite movies. Ones I love and its in no particular order. Enjoy!
She's still got it. He's just getting it.
Sandy, upon discovering her husband's infidelity while watching her son's birthday video, leaves the suburbs and moves into the city. She gets an apartment that's above a coffee house where she befriends one of the workers, Aram, a guy whose wife only married him so she could get a green card. Aram's family thinks he's wasting his life and education by working in the coffee house. Soon after moving into the apartment, Sandy hires Aram to be her nanny while she takes on work for the first time since her children where born. It isn't long when Aram and Sandy find they get along wonderfully and start to date. But the question is: is their relationship real or is it, in fact, just a rebound for both of them?
The Rebound is so mediocre in every possibly way that it becomes a much more painful experience than if it was just simply a bad movie.
¨She`s still got it. He`s just getting it.¨
This is the first film I´ve seen from director Bart Freundlich and I can say I wasn`t very impressed. The Rebound has its laugh out loud moments, but they are few. The beginning of the film didn`t impress me much and I was ready to give up on it, but halfway through the movie it picks up and the chemistry between Catherine Zeta-Jones and Justin Bartha helps. It is not a great movie, but it is not your typical romcom either and it has a few things favoring it. The script was written by Bart Freundlich, the director himself, but it wasn`t one of the strong points; I felt the dialogue could…
Omg this is a very good romantic/comedy film. I loved it so much! You actually care for the characters in the film!! Handsome guy in this movie he was awesome and of course very attractive to look at LOL. Highly recommend it! This is probably one of my new favourite romantic/comedy films, this is really good!!
This movie is a simple Rom-Com. It has it's laughs but overall meanders towards it's inevitable and predictable end. Zeta-Jones does a solid job as a single mother but I just found Justin Bartha to be annoying most of the time and his over done take on a naive youth is not to be admired. The story is simple, and at times dumb and the question is raised more times than not; Why does this film exist? It is just another predictable romantic comedy with poor dialogue and convoluted story lines. It's not my kind of thing, but if you love that sort of movie then The Rebound is for you.
A guilty pleasure of mine. I think it's more because of some of its ideas rather than the execution, but then again it might just be Catherine Zeta-Jones...
Anyways. Could've been a lot better, and a lot worse... Predictable and safe take on a somewhat interesting idea.
i love this movie. it's cute
This is billed as a romantic comedy. It's not. It's a drama with some romance in it. I didn't buy the supposed age difference between them, but I suppose a 31 year old guy playing 25 is nothing what with all the 30 year olds playing teens in movies and TV shows.
it's funny cute and nice
Again a film that has it's own amount of charm but it's a rather predictable and by the numbers story about an experienced woman with children meeting and falling for a much younger man. Both Zeta Jones and Bartha do fine jobs in their roles but the film is so predictable so you never really get carried away by their romance and it lags a little bit. But a decent 1½ hours watch.
not a good romantic movie....
Has it moments. Both in the good sense and in the bad sense. Fairly good performances from the leads balance out a script that is unbalanced and directing that could have been better.
Not (surprisingly) the story of LeBron James, but his name IS mentioned once. I don't exactly know how I ended up paying to see this, but it was better than expected, eschewing (most of the) romantic comedy cliches for a surprisingly dramatic piece, in places. Technically deplorable by Hollywood standards, with some atrocious lensing, and the kids (especially early on) are those typically precocious brats, and a couple of supposedly "comedic" supporting turns (Bo Duke, the coffee shop guy) misfire. But the central duo are well written and well acted enough for to hit the spot. I've known plenty of aimless, sweet 20-something dorks like Bartha's character - who woulda easily fallen for a MILF as hot as CZJ under…
This movie is true.
