There never was, never will be, and never could be anyone like Charles Bronson.
This is one of his best.
Charles Bronson kills hippies, bikers, mobsters, soldiers, jazz musicians, his fellow cops, and (more likely than not) tens of thousands of innocent bystanders, all in the name of justice! But also probably because that's just what Charles Bronson does on Tuesdays...
And suck eggs, Tangerine Dream, this film has possibly the greatest film score of all time. Fact.

The second of three films directed by Michael Winner and starring Charles Bronson, this cop movie has a great soundtrack, odd locations, and decent Bronson one-liners.

A fairly standard tough cop movie. Interesting because of, of course, Bronson and the time machine that it is. This one breathes early seventies with hippies, black panther like militant groups and jazz music. Halfway in we're treated an awesome but short chase scene. Enjoyable but not outstanding.

Charlie Bronson violent gem from the 70's. Some great shoot outs and not much sense but a blast from start to finish.

The vastly underrated Michael Winner (60's 70's Winner is top class stuff, so there) teams up with the mighty Charles Bronson again for this sprawling, violent, Cop/Mafia tale that's been sadly rather forgotten.
An amazing support cast provides us with non-stop top acting and enjoyable characters to keep us interested between the dummies and the blood squibs.
Just check this cast out;
Martin Balsam ("12 Angry Men"/"Taking of Pelham 123"), Paul Koslo ("The Losers"/"Mr Majestyk"), Jack Colvin (TV's "Incredible Hulk"), Norman Fell ("Charley Varrick"), Ralph Waite ("Grissom Gang"/TV's "The Waltons"), John Ritter ("IT"/"Bride of Chucky") and Stuart Margolin ("Kelly's Heroes").Bronson himself is in top 70's form; Tough, ruthless and by the book. But not yet the annoyingly puritan/overly serious…

Sandwiched between two other Michael Winner / Charles Bronson team-ups (The Mechanic and Death Wish), The Stone Killer is a decent 70s thriller with funky music and some pretty alright action. The finale is especially great here, but overall I thought the plot was nothing to write home about. Look for a pre-Three's Company appearance from John Ritter.
