Jason Bateman. That is all.

Though Aniston is top-billed, this is Bateman's movie all the way. The two leads have good chemistry together and the little boy is Dakota Fanning good. While the premise is right out of a soap opera and the ending a foregone conclusion, I liked the script and the entire cast gave their material life; they all came to play.
Beautifully filmed, well paced and smartly directed, the filmmakers maintain a small movie feel within their higher production values. And thankfully the songs used throughout do not get in the way of the action on the screen.
A pleasant surprise of a movie. Recommend

i'm so glad jason bateman is in this movie bc he got to show how good of an actor he is and not play the stoic funny guy for once ✿◕‿◕✿

Although the premise was funny and the cast was strong, both leads' characters were fairly unappealing and bland and this movie just straight-up wasn't funny... Interactions between Bateman and the boy were cute, and Goldblum was good for a few chuckles, but this comedy, after a slightly-raunchy setup, unfortunately just had no bite to it whatsoever...

I think this is a comedy. Not that funny. Could of been a episode of friends wouldn't of known the difference

Not that interesting or unique. Bateman was good but he and Aniston didn't feel real - when you don't believe the chemistry then the rest of the film seems very mediocre.

actually really creepy premise

Proof that not all romantic comedies are shit. Just because a romantic comedy is cliched doesn't make it bad.
You see, all you need is the right stars and the right script. This film has stars with great chemistry and a charming script, making it a very entertaining and sweet romantic comedy.

An example of why democracy isn't always a great thing; there should be laws against people having the freedom to make movies like this.

The Kid makes this movie worthy of a solid 4, unfortunately Jennifer Aniston is in it, which brings it down to a solid 3.

The premise of this movie is horrible and the execution of that premise is also horrible. Jason Bateman literally dumps out some guy's sperm and replaces it with his own. But SOMEHOW the aftermath of that travesty was pretty good. Once the kid is in the picture, things are much better than that shitty beginning would have allowed me to believe.

Oh my God, this film's plot is ludicrous.

Cute chick flick! Nothing out of the ordinary, predictable, etc. Best part is the relationship and acting between Jason Bateman & the little kid in this movie.
