    Horror Torture

A child is kidnapped and murdered but the parents are not happy with the sentence the killer is given so they take matters into their own hands.

The acting is average at best with a basic story and a basic twist. I didn't hate this, I gave it 2 1/2 stars for an ok movie, I was entertained. I had low expectations going into it so I'm sure that helped.

Often boring and not very interesting... until the last 15 minutes, which has a great twist. The end does however not make up for bad acting and rather lame writing. I do however agree with the message of the film SPOILERS FROM HERE ON!!!

The killer was obviously sick and should have been put into a psychiatric hospital not a prison. If they had the right man, they would still be doing the wrong thing. They were actually worse than…

Similar in plot to the recent French release 7 Days, this has a couple mourning the death of their child and taking the law into their own hands - staging an audacious smash-and-grab raid to kidnap the suspected murderer and then mete out their own form of justice. There’s little fresh here, although the ending is quite neat, and the film suffers from having two leads who you feel little sympathy with.

Started off really good, but then became totally stupid and ridiculous!
Why the FUCK would you ever leave the key for your prisoner anywhere near him!!

I wasn't asking for much from this film, but COME ON.
This film is just lazy, the acting isn't chronic but it's not far from it, the actors put little effort in. The movie is incredibly slow, most of the torture scenes contain little torture. You wouldn't expect that from a film called The Tortured would you? Pure lazyness. The ending "twist" isn't a good one, seeing as it makes hardly any sense. Give this a miss.

Although I was remotely satisfied by the ending, and it had a decent premise, the rest is a pointless, tasteless, and talentless mess.

The torture scenes were indeed graphic and definitely cringe-worthy, but the terrible acting and dialogue was even more painful.

If you couldn’t guess from the title, The Tortured, is another inept torture porn movie, much like the rest of a sub-genre that really could do with dying itself. When a couple’s child is kidnapped and murdered by a serial killer they decide traditional punishment is too good for him and want to make him suffer the way their own son did. Foolishly I was hoping for a film that explored the moral complexity of an eye for an eye…

A repulsive, sadistic feature without a proper ending. It's as if the filmmakers got bored and just gave up. And judging by the quality of what they achieved with the rest of the film, I can't say I blame them.
