Cameron Crowe's screenplay is decent, and Eric Stoltz and Lea Thompson are strong leads for an overall high quality cast, but Chris Penn sticks much too closely to his brother's performance as Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High and that's just one way that this film pales next to its close cousin.

The best performance I have ever seen from Chris Penn. Underrated film.

The kinda sequel to Fast Times. I watched this a lot on cable in the 80's, I just don't remember if it was very good.
