Honorable mention to WATER POWER (1977) which isn't on Letterboxd because porno is a no no.
Third Dimensional Murder
A 3-D short subject in which the narrator goes to a creepy old house in search of his missing aunt. There he encounters the Frankenstein monster, a witch, a wooden Indian who comes to life, and assorted other monsters and frightening characters, all of whom manage to throw something toward the camera.
Saw on the big screen at the Music Box of Horrors
Short 3-D film that played in between the last two movies. The humor is groan worthy, and the 3-D didn't work too well. Not sure if it was the print, or the glasses. Only 8 minutes though. It was fun.
Shown in anaglyph 3D, this short demos the "in-your face" allure of 3D with monster attacks coming right at you.
This is a pretty shitty 3-D horror-comedy short. Some of the jokes were funny in a groan-y sort of way (my favorite kind of funny, really) and the atmosphere is nice if you're into quaint Halloween-style stuff but the 3D effects in the print I saw were terrible and executed in the clumsiest, silliest ways possible.
This list is a partner piece to my revisitation of all of the classic Universal Monster movies. It is not…
