I'm kinda picky when it comes to modern surrealist/anti-humour - and by picky I mean I hate just about all of it. I have no time for Adult Swim or any sort of cartoon that just loops an image and noise that isn't funny to begin with in the hopes that it will become funny if you just watch it a little more.
But something about Tim and Eric I find really endearing. I actually really love the show and laugh a lot, not something I do at most other Adult Swim shows, but sadly I think their humour really is at its best in short 11 minute episodes. Trying to apply their humour to a long form feature film…

The show Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! takes anti-humor and nonsensical skits farther then they were ever meant to go. Is that good or bad? It depends who you ask I guess.
If you've never heard the term "anti-humor" before, trust me it's well deserved in this case. It takes absurdity to an entirely new level. I'm guessing the majority of normal people's reaction to the show is more like "What is this $%&# on TV?". I have to admit that I am of the other variety and can actually enjoy an episode every now and again. I'm fully aware that finding this stuff funny means I'm a bit abnormal.
Now with that said, I can say the…

Despite liking the show somewhat, this movie was horrible, and I was in a state of mind where you could say I was the target audience. The sleep I had after it was better than the movie.

The best bits are actually funny, but the film's true showstoppers exist in direct opposition to the concept of comedy. I suppose you could accurately describe this as "brave," but then you'd have to actually examine what motivates this particular brand of courage. There are some rocks that you don't flip over.

This is one of those movies that goes against your film analysis existence but is good anyway.

I was expecting this to be weird, and mildly amusing. But what I got instead was weird and piss your pants funny. John C. Reily's character of Tacito might be one of the funniest cinematic creations ever.

Despite feeling like I probably should like this movie, I ended up not actually making it all the way through - which is *not* something I do. So, I guess I didn't like it. Or, perhaps I'm just getting old...

Neither a typical absurdist gross out film nor a total satire on American culture, B$M manages to blend the two, producing an effective postmodern romp over small town business culture and Hollywood stardom. Many of the gags are very clever, and while there are relatively few belly laugh moments, the sheer absurdity of the whole setup and the unlikely chain of events that T&E set into motion are enough to make you chuckle after you take the DVD out. Just watch out for the diarrhoea bath.

I've seen every episode of Tom Goes to the Mayor.
I've seen every episode of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!.
I've looked up Heidecker's stand up, and Wareheims music videos.
I enjoyed 'The Comedy.'
I subscribed to 'JASH' on youtube.
You could say that I'm a pretty big fan of Tim and Eric.
*deep breath* The film never made me cringe (in the bad way), but there were way more failed or rehashed jokes than funny ones. Having Tim and Eric just talk to each other is always a delight but they were either trying way too hard or not hard enough here. What ruined this idea most, besides the much lengthier format, is the R rating. By…

I had thought, when I watched Not Another Not Another Movie, that I had seen the worst movie I would see all year. I was mistaken in that impression. Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie isn’t just the worst movie I’ve seen that was made in 2012, it’s the worst movie I saw during 2012 as well — and as I watched it in December, it didn’t have a shortage of competition. It’s worse than the other new movies I saw, it’s worse than all of the old movies I saw in 2012. Yes, it’s even worse than Not Another Not Another Movie, and I have no idea how my life has gone so wrong that I’m able to say that. Read full review.

Being a fan of Tim and Eric and their absurd anti-humor humor, I found the Tim and Eric Movie fairly enjoyable. With that being said, it's pretty clear that this particular style of comedy really doesn't work as well in a feature film format.
But if you're a fan of show, this is certainly worth a watch as it does feature the same intentionally ridiculous, brain-numbing comedy style of their Adult Swim series.
The series definitely works a lot better, as it gives us smaller 10 minute chunks to consume, and allows the creators to throw a greater quantity of much smaller sketches at us - all of which make equally as little sense.
If you're not a fan or have never heard of these guys and their work, this film might just confuse the hell out of you.
