I'm so afraid of snakes, and this movie has a real black mamba slithering around throughout most of it. (And I thought Night of the Cobra Woman was bad...) I kept getting the chills! But all that snake action was secondary to Klaus Kinski and Oliver Reed in the same scenes together, freaking out together! And the one death scene (don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it) is a pretty graphic (and grizzly) snake venom death!

Ridiculously talented cast of genuinely insane and soberly-challenged actors in a tight, suspenseful gem of a thriller. Strange, unpredictable and inspired mix of The Desperate Hours and animal attack sub-genre. Can't wait to re-watch with the director commentary.

Great death scenes and a mostly restrained Klaus Kinski can't quite carry it.

The end death scene is a thing of wonder.

Great cast, cool concept, but an execution that's somewhat dull and drawn-out. Still worth a view.
