Volcano a.k.a the horrible mess in which Tommy Lee Jones was outacted by lava.
This film contains so many facepalm moments you would need your toes to count them all. -
As its name suggests this movie truly is a disaster. The acting is abysmal and the special effects are cheap. The story is ridiculous and the script is basic and generic in terms of content.
Tommy Lee Jones proves here that he really plays the same kind of character in all his films. And in this mess he truly sucks.
I hate this film and it hasn't even finished yet.

This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Tommy Lee Jones is the hero of Miracle Mile. THE END.

Followed up DANTE'S PEAK with this film. It's a modern (as of 1997) disaster movie with awful characters. The volcano and lava sequences were cool, but the people it were terrible. Hated the newscasters and the overt racial preaching.

This film is something. I have seen it and I saw not be seeing it again. I honestly don't know what is a better film, this or Dante's Peak. They do have some similar scenes in them, but they are entirely different films with different acting styles.

Thanks to Letterboxd, I don’t have to see this again.

Tommy Lee Jones at his best man, at the prime of his years as an actor. I love to see this movie just to get me de-stressed.

Érdekes alapötlet, de kevésbé érdekes megvalósítás. Vége picit erőltetett happy end.

Oh Volcano, you so silly.

Can you outrun a falling skyscraper? Tommy Lee Jones can.

This is another HBO movies that I inexplicably would watch repeatedly. I loved anything with special effects back then, but I still realized that this was terrible. Although, it does have that great moment when John Carroll Lynch fails to jump past the lava and gets melted alive.

A volcano couldn't just appear in L.A. could it? Well if it had to thank the maker Tommy Lee Jones was there to save folk.

As cheesy as a Cheeseburger served without the meat with extra cheese, but Tommy Lee Jones gets to be very Tommy Lee Jones, so I left happy.
