For a Statham/Li film, it's alright.

Not a very good film, but enteraining at times. Always nice to see Jet Li fighting, but he doesn't do it enough in this one.

Ho-hum action drama has a distinct straight-to-DVD feel, and judging by its box office that perhaps where it should have gone. Jet Li and Jason Statham face off here as supercop vs superhitman, but share precious little screen time and there’s less action here than an episode of The Fall Guy. Though of course the style is ultra-modern and flashy all the way, as every character has a chrome pistol or imported European sportscar to mess around with. Final hand-to-hand showdown between the two stars (surely the only reason to even bother watching this?) is adequate at best, while the ending twist is eyeroll-worthy.

Disappointing.

Starts out as bad and boring as billed, but the end was delightfully action packed and some of the dumb plot elements came through and tied into the end. And really, how can a Jet Li movie not have at least a few good fight scenes.

Dry and predictable, just enough cool fights to keep it entertaining.
