Director Stephan Elliott has struggled to replicate the success of his breakout hit, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Welcome to Woop Woop, the film he followed Priscilla with, is another gaudy and over the top oddity yet here the ride is a lot less fun because it is nearly impossible to feel invested in the characters. Instead it is broad, loud and with very little substance.
