This is one of those movies that turns out to be way better than you thought it could be. Jack Pallence is just beyond badass in this. The Alien hunter and his flying vagina tenticle frisbee monsters actulally come off as very cool and scary. And lets be honest here, there is no way this didnt insprire Predator.

Unfortunately, Jack Palance and Martin Landau do nothing to help this low-budget, overlong extraterrestrial thriller ('thriller' used loosely). I was hopeful that this would at least have value as a mock-able cheesefest, but it's really too long and boring even for that. That said, the alien, once it's finally revealed, does possess a certain undefinable creepiness, but it's not close to enough to make this recommendable.

A downright scary alien throws mutated ninja star-alien teeth thingies at people and makes yellow puss come out of them. Bleeech! It's entertaining, gruesome, silly and deserves to be watched by every horror fan at some point. The over-the-top craziness of Jack Palance and Martin Landau just add to the fun. Watch for an early acting gig from David Caruso wearing a pair of rather fashion challenged shorts.

First time seeing this. The alien looked pretty decent so it was odd they didn't show much of it until the end. Definitely see where Predator got its inspiration from.

This movie's got it all. Jack Palance, stupid teenagers, great music and a cheesy monster.
The scene in the bar with Palance, Martin Landau, Neville Brand and Ralph Meeker is a keeper. Meeker has never been funnier.
David Caruso also makes an appearence, but luckily, he dies.

Starts off ok, but gets really bogged down in human drama in the 2nd half. Not enough aliens. Great to see Martin Landau, Neville Brand, Ralph Meeker & Jack Palance in a scene together though. And the film looks pretty good thanks to the great Dean Cundey.
