Two's company. Dupree's a crowd.
After standing in as best man for his longtime friend Carl Petersen, Randy Dupree loses his job, becomes a barfly and attaches himself to the newlywed couple almost permanently -- as their houseguest. This has been a film I've always wanted to see. There isn't any explanation, it's just one of those films on your imaginary watch list that you're not too bothered when you see it. Then you get the chance to see it and you take it.
Overall I thought this had some funny parts and I laughed, mainly at Owen Wilson. The story itself was pretty predictable, as soon as I knew there was the Dad (Michael Douglas) and his daughter (Kate Hudson) involved, I knew somehow something embarrassing would happen for Dupree (Owen Wilson) in front of Michael Douglas. Matt Dillon also reminds of me of a young Bruce Campbell, I like Bruce Campbell, but not Matt Dillon. Rest aside, Kate Hudson, thumbs up from me!

There are some decent actors here but ultimately there's little humor found.

Story is kinda bad and predictable. Good enough if you're hungover or with your girlfriend of choice.

It's average for Owen Wilson, but that means above average in its genre.

This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Complete waste of time. I am just grateful I get along with my in-laws and I don't have stupid friends.
