Jacob Olsen’s review published on Letterboxd :
Really it was all coincidence, it's been on my watchlist for a while, but somehow this movie came into my possession today. Watching it on the Fourth of July immediately seemed appropriate.
It certainly brings up some interesting and thought-provoking aspects. I guess «American Superstarz» is a fictional show? Anyway there are many like it, and the «talent show» setting is as good a scene as anywhere to make a final statement, I guess.
The movie? It starts out good. The initial dialogue between Frank and his co-worker is almost brilliant and really had me. When Roxy enters Frank's life, well that's also good. But after that the movie unfortunately fails to keep its pace up.
Overall, not as good as I hoped for, but certainly not a waste of time.
