Jacob Olsen’s review:
On my Top three all-time favorites. In every way this is a perfect feel-good movie. Phil Connors' journey from shock, hopelessness and despair into philanthropy through love is greatly manifested by the one and only Bill Murray. Even the usually quite shallow actor Andie MacDowell is good here.
Full acknowledgement!
Wow, wasn't expecting to see this in your top 4, however, I agree it is a very good "feel good" movie. It was very well made and thought out. I live only about 15 miles or so from the town where most of this movie was filmed, so many of the scenes are familiar to me.
I want to live in that exact town. :-)
It's a nice little town Woodstock, Illinois. However, my favorite town in the USA is Sturgeon Bay, Wisconisn. Most of the Mailboxes have names like Larsen, Johnsen, Olsen, Hovik, Ehn, Larson, or Hansen, on them :)
