Iain - good luck with Ulzana. I must warn you though, few people like it as much as I do!
Just Finished Ulzana, good stuff.
Add Chato's Land, Vera Cruz, Magnificent Seven, Hombre, Valdez is Coming, Lawman, A man Called Horse etc....
Hombre is there, and I thought Vera Cruz was too. I guess it just missed the list. Lawman i haven't seen, thanks for the tip!
Once Upon A Time In The West, High Plains Drifter and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance would probably be my top three.
Good films, Steve! Although I don't think High Plains Drifter is bringing much new to the table, at least it showed that Eastwood was heading in the right direction.
This is a "pretty good" list Jacob, but: not having "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" in the first row is very surprising.
I am sure there is a deep rooted hidden reason :-)
You did say "your favorite"..not the "Best" so you are partially forgiven. ;)
I like that you included "lonesome Dove" in your top ten.
I would rate "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" much higher.
I have see most of your list "many" times.
Thanks for ranking your "favorites".
I meant "have seen".
No love for THE PROFESSIONALS?
It's one of the greatest westerns ever made.
I guess it's been a while, I see I've rated it 3 stars. Can't remember much so it didn't make a lasting impression, but since I own it on DVD I will get back to it sometime.
