Danger: Diabolik 1968

FilmApe’s review:
A film that absolutely blows me away everytime I watch. The first Mario Bava film that I ever saw, everything he does with the film is inspired. From the use of miniatures and matte paintings to the soundtrack, everything is simply perfect. The film is intentionally funny and I assume the parts that hit in the 60s are the exact ones that still hit today.
Above everything though is the character Diabolik. I love everything about this character and John Phillip Law's performance. He is the ultimate anti-hero with a swagger that I wish I could emulate. I mean Diabolik's entire motivation to be a criminal is just to make whoopie with his girlfriend, what's not to like?
I need to watch this film.
You do. I would be very interested in your thoughts.
I'll try to check it out sometime for sure.
