The Way of the Gun 2000
It is all about the attention to detail in this film. There are tons of little things I could bring up that make this film a masterpiece, but I'll just bring up my personal favourite. The scene where Mr. Parker dives into the $15,000,000 fountain is an amazing moment. See this movie yourself in order to understand what I'm referring to.

U Turn 1997
A very trashy film that revels in the fact that its characters are human garbage. There isn't a single redeemable character in the film, but that is one of the main reasons I like it. Everyone has the worst intentions at heart and nobody changes there ways and becomes a better person. U Turn wants you to get right down in the mud, and I am more than happy to do so.

Drop Zone 1994
Like Terminal Velocity, Drop Zone was released in 1994 and is an action movie revolving around skydiving. Unlike Terminal Velocity, Drop Zone is actually a pretty great movie. The idea of a skydiving centered action movie is fully realized here, and there are plenty of awesome aerial stunts throughout the film. It makes Terminal Velocity look like a waste of good film stock.

Terminal Velocity 1994
Man, the bluray menu for Terminal Velocity is a total con job. It makes the film look absolutely fantastic, with all the best moments of the film being highlighted. Unfortunately, the best moments of the film are few and far between, and the majority of this film is a bit dull. Charlie Sheen isn't great in a lead action role, and even James Gandolfini looking a lot like Jon Favreau didn't do anything for me. In the end, this is the best part of the film.

Star Trek Into Darkness 2013
How the heck did this script get turned into a feature film? The script is lazy, full of pandering, and has way too much forced conflict. I forgave the script at first, but by the time the terrible third act rolled around, I was done with the film. I am not impressed.

Zardoz 1974
I found a stack of DVDs I had forgotten about. Among Critters 1-4 and Night of the Demons was Zardoz, and since I had never seen it, I figured it was time to give it a watch. This was my reaction during the first twenty minutes or so, but then the film just keeps going and going. I do think it would benefit from a rewatch though.

I Give It A Year 2013
When I first saw the trailer I thought this movie had potential. Now having seen the film, I realize that there was no potential whatsoever. Basically the entire film is awkward/unfunny scenes with some person saying or doing something inappropriate. I didn't laugh once during the runtime. Both Rose Byrne and Rafe Spall deserve much better. For Stephen Merchant though, this is about the quality of movie he deserves.
