The Curious Case of Benjamin Button 2008

filmintel’s review:
A story ultimately about time and timeliness which, ironically, mainly gets criticised for being too long. Not in my book. A compelling cross-period narrative, a love arc you can actually care for, beautifully shot with colourful side characters. Give me more, I say. More on the site.
5 stars? Are you serious?! It's among the best films you've EVER seen?
Also, I find Cate Blanchett incredibly annoying in this film, and I never find her incredibly annoying (even in Hanna), I love her! And I'm pretty sure she wasn't meant to be annoying in this...
I do genuinely really love it. Loved it when I first saw it, saw a load of the negative reviews, thought 'hmm, maybe I was wrong', went back and watched it again, loved it again. Think it's a great piece of work.
I completely agree, fantastic film, especially after the second watch.
This is one that I've been meaning to grab the Criterion release of recently for some reason. I remember enjoying it (but not loving) when it was in theatres. But I want to kick off a Fincher collection with this movie. Damn I need to revisit it, not sure if I've seen it since theathrical release.
I think in genuinely gets better. Look forward to hearing what you think if you manage to pick it up.
