The UK Blu-ray sleeve (www.slackercinema.com/2011/05/blue-valentine-dvd-review.html?m=1) is bizarrely reminiscent of 'The Notebook' & I really hope some unsuspecting punter buys this thinking they're in for more of the same.
If 'The Notebook' is a romanticised reflection of the kind of relationship that everybody craves, then this film is a dose of realism that'll make you wonder whether or not it's all worth it (or whether you should just go out & buy several cats).
