Fantastic film, riveting, incredibly story, just wow to watch unfold. Characters needed some work, not a flawless film, but damn good, highly suggested viewing.

I LOVE this movie, I mean seriously, I adore it, so damn good. A quote I'm stealing from someone else - Starship Troopers is the definition of awesome. This was back when the studio somehow gave violence master Paul Verhoeven $100M to make an epic sci-fi action space opera. Everything about this movie kicks ass, it defines my fascination and rise to glory with cinema like this. Seriously one of my all-time favorites. The score is amazing, the action is…

Audiard has done it again. Incredible, raw, emotional, intimate, beautiful, brutal, but fantastic film. Amazing performances by both Marion Cotillard and Matthias Schoenaerts. Very long, and it doesn't top Un Prophete for me, but it's damn good. If you love Audiard's previous films, see this, it's excellent.

  • Jeff, Who Lives at Home 2011

    ★★★★ Rewatched 02 Mar, 2012

Funny pseudo-stoner comedy with Segel and Helms from the Duplass Brothers. Seen it before, but I still love it. Lots of great humor and an amusing "path of destiny" story. Highly recommended!

  • Top Gun 1986

Classic. LOVE this movie. So damn good! One of Tony Scott's (RIP) bests. Everything about it is near perfect, it captures wonderfully and achieves everything it sets out to, with regard to this story about "Top Gun" fighter pilots. Entertaining beyond all, still exciting, fun, enjoyable to watch (I saw it so many times as a kid, too). Good emotion all around, just perfect. Dog fighting scenes are badass, exhilarating, and the editing is outstanding. Plus, I love the sort of unconventional twist (he doesn't get Top Gun!) in the story but that's what makes it great.

  • Blood Diamond 2006

Surprisingly better than I remember, great production values, solid story, some cheesy moments, but overall quite good.

Some dark, demented, violent, crazy shit, but damn good.

  • When Harry Met Sally... 1989

    ★★★½ Rewatched 25 Aug, 2013

Not bad. Fun, quirky, perfectly captures the absurdities of romance. But this movie has aged horribly. So 80's, and so cheesy in ways that don't even resonate anymore. It's enjoyable, but not my favorite by far.

  • When Harry Met Sally... 1989

    ★★★★ Watched 08 Apr, 2012

Charming, funny, so very 80's, but captures that time and romance at that time perfectly.

  • John Dies at the End 2013

    ★★★½ Watched 23 Jan, 2012

Insanely weird, wild, wacky film from Don Coscarelli.

  • Senna 2010

This is an absolutely phenomenal film, wow. Breathtaking, pure beautiful cinema, capturing an honest, riveting, intimate look at the life of a man living his passions to the fullest. I didn't expecting it to be so fascinating, and take me on such an emotional journey. What an incredible man, I am just as honored to learn about who he is and what he believes in than I am to hear his story about how he was one of the great…

  • Take This Waltz 2012

What a very odd, awkward film. Basically an entire film about adultery, and how hard this young girl tries not to commit it. As much as I wanted to love it, and it has some gorgeous cinematography, the characters felt flimsy and undefined. It's an interesting film, but that's as much as I can say for it. I loved how it ended, that final scene, at least! Yea...
