I'm not familiar with the books, so I cannot compare it to them. But as a movie it's a great one. Performances are all solid especially from the older actors. Lawrence was good but not great. The story was intriguing and I found the pacing perfect! And while I disliked the shaky cam, you understand it was there to distract younger audiences from all the bloody carnage going on at times.

I'll surely be at the theaters for the sequel. And will follow up reading the books.
