Letterboxd — Your life in film

Somehow this was even more perfect than what I had anticipated.

All jokes aside, though: I haven't felt that well-entertained in quite some time.

Oh boy, this demands a 'real' review, which is to be following soon. For now let it suffice to say: it's just as awesome as everyone claims it to be.

It definetly gets better every time you watch it.

Not only as good as expected - but far better. For my taste, this film is nothing less than a masterpiece of modern cinematography.

Even better on the 2nd watch.

Yes, it is one hell of a long thing. That's what she said.
But: there can never be enough of pure awesomeness. That's what I, the fanboy, said.

Well, after 4 months, what can I say? Still loving it. Still can't see why people would call it a mishap or even a disaster.
It still is every bit as amazing, intriguing and genuinely superbly shot as I thought it was the first time I watched it.
Can't wait to see that titan of a making-of.

I have to admit, it wasn't wholly consequent throughout. But oh... Ridley Scott just damn sure knows how to make me love his films.

I have a feeling this gets better every time you watch it.

Gewohnt düster, spannend und mit viel Talent für Gänsehaut fördernde Einstellungen inszeniert David Fincher einen Thriller, dessen Schauspielerensemble ich als absolut herausragend empfand - allen voran natürlich Rooney Mara. Trotz diverser, erzähltechnisch eher gemächlicher Abschnitte packt der Film ab der ersten Sekunde (des genialen Intros) und wird wohl die meisten Fincher-Fans überdurchschnittlich gut unterhalten.

Yet again I can't help but mentioning: HOLY SHIT.

Pretty much perfect for what it's supposed to be.
