Best part about work is the tv & sometimes there are gems on. I love this movie. I don't care what people think.
Yes, Fran Drescher is basically doing her character from The Nanny on the big screen but it works. There's The Nanny factor, a hairdresser taking a new job, but instead of being the nanny to three, she's a school teacher in some castle in Eastern Europe to four. It also plays like The Sound of Music. The kids wear uniforms, the father is gruff, strick & not emotionally available for his children, except that in this film the father's a dictator to small nation. Of course love blossoms between out of place speaks her mind girl & hard nosed man. Plus the added bonus that father bonds again with children. It's been done to death but there is just the cheesy factor of the film that I love. Hey, they don't all have to be winners.
Not a huge fan of Timothy Dalton but I do love it when he does comedy.
