I haven't seen a film I out and out loved for a while, so it's nice of it to be this one.
It was another one of those rare "Foggy Blind Buys" that usually end in misery, but this time, it worked out pretty well.
From the opening scene to the end credits, I was hooked, I never felt like I was wasting my time, it's just a film that works on every conceivable level to me. It's got some cheese and over the top action, it's well crafted with great characters and storyline, and it fantastically shot. Heck I think the film might have my favorite camera angle ever put into a film.
The film just connected with me, almost too well, where the film dances with elegance around my trashy tastes of film and my arty tastes of film, to create a balance of perfection It just proves you don't need a ton of money to make a gripping innovative action film that will linger in the mind for a long time.
