Pete Foley’s review:
Fincher does a good job of making sense of the structural nightmare of the book. Visually the film is quite striking, and the opening credit sequence is stunning. Overall, however, I didn't feel very emotionally invested in the whole affair. The movie felt cold, in more ways than one (it's set in Sweden, where it's cold....get it?).
It's definitely worth watching, though, and Rooney Mara gives a fantastic performance as Lisbeth.
