Ryan’s review:
Like a love child of Terrence Malick and The Discovery Channel, BARAKA is a meditative look at some of the people, places, and cultures from around our unique world.
It also happens to boast some of the most spectacular, awe-inspiring picture quality to ever grace the blu-ray format.
Film Ape want to see.
It's definitely in the top 5 for live-action blu-ray PQ, probably only behind Game of Thrones, The Thin Red Line, and The Tree of Life. Avatar and I, Robot, I consider to be more CGI than real. But either way, it's gorgeous.
I think your mouse was a little too far to the left when you clicked on the rating.
My mouse is 100% accurate.
Can't say the same about my keyboard, though.
is from a 4K transfer, I think this is the highest resolution Blu-ray in the market, if you wanna show of your TV resolution, this is the tittle to pick up.
It's an 8k transfer, actually.
The director has another movie coming out on blu-ray this year called SAMSARA, which was also shot on 70mm.

yeah you are right is 8K.. interesting about Samsara, I had a press screening for that and I was gonna pass but now that I know is from the director of Baraka I check it out...
I've always wanted to see this.
This is making me very excited to be seeing this in 70mm soon!
