Super Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story (AKA Bruce Lee: A Dragon Story) was the first, and is still the worst, Bruce Lee biopic. Rushed (it came out the year after Bruce's passing), cheap, sloppy, and very inaccurate. It makes Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story look like a documentary! It also feels more like "The Betty Ting Pei Story" (although not as much as Shaw Brothers' Bruce Lee and I, obviously). Ho Tsung-Tao (AKA Bruce Li) does an okay job portraying…
Bruceploitation at its finest... and wackiest!
Bruce Lee (portrayed by the awesome Bruce Leung) dies and "wakes up" in the Underworld where he is forced to fight a motley crew of evildoers, including James Bond, The Godfather, The Exorcist(??), Clint Eastwood (The Man With No Name), Zatoichi the Blind Swordsman, Emanuelle, Dracula, the Cobra Kai gang in skeleton outfits from The Karate Kid, and a bunch of mummies. Oh, and along the way he teams up with The One-Armed Swordsman and Popeye the Sailor Man (played by Eric Tsang)!
A must see!
