Seven Samurai 1956

Richard Trondsen’s review:
I'm ashamed to say that I just watched Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai for the very first time. Even worse, I've had the (Criterion) DVD in my shelf for about 5(!) years. But, what's important is that I loved it to death and that I intend to watch the remaining 5 unwatched Kurosawa films in my collection over the next few days.
Don't worry about this Richard, we all have similar gaffes. I for one have yet to watch so many of the required "classics" cinephiles quote as the best of the best. Like (for example) Citizen Kane, North by NorthWest and Birth of a Nation....
Funny you should mention North by Northwest as that's another classic I watched for the first time this week. It's definitely highly recommended.
I need to re-watch this masterpiece pretty soon.
I watched it three days ago and I already want to watch it again.
