Ranked: Friday the 13th (Franchise)
I've been meaning to start ranking franchises for some time, but I've never gotten around to it. So, seeing how today is Friday the 13th and all, what better franchise to start with than what could very well be my favorite franchise of them all, Friday the 13th? That's right, I'm a huge Friday the 13th fan and I've been so for as long as I can remember. Jason Lives!
I've included Freddy vs. Jason as well as the (awful) "remake." I also decided to include the excellent documentary, His Name Was Jason, to get an "even" 13. Since it's a documentary, it's ranked last by default.

BEST LIST.
Very glad to see the remake at the bottom. I swear I almost exploded with rage after watching that garbage, and then decided to hunt down everyone involved. Luckily for them it was too big a task for me. I had to ditch it.
(Also, I think me and my dad are the only people on the planet who love Jason X, damn)
The positioning of Jason Takes Manhattan makes me a sad panda :(

What I failed to mention is that I either love, really like, or at least like the first ten (in my list). I dislike Jason Takes Manhattan and hate the remake.

Don't be sad steve, I like Jason Takes Manhattan too. It's terrible, but I love it.
Oh, it's bloody awful, don't get me wrong. But in that wonderful way where nobody taking part gives a crap and they decide to throw some absolutely bizarre stuff in there and it's just hilarious.
The rooftop fight is still one of my favourite film scenes of any kind ever, though!

I'll always love the bit where the punks go to start Jason for kicking what appears to be a bin, and he just turns around and scares them shitless by removing his mask.

As much as I dislike Jason Takes Manhattan, I do find myself watching it quite often. It's awful, but entertaining.

I love every F13 movie, (apart from the remake) so fucking much. I blame my dad. He's a mega-fan, and I grew up with it.
(I legally gave myself the middle name Voorhees last year, because I love Jason/Friday The 13th franchise so much and I was jealous my brother got Jason as a middle name when he was born and I didn't get any, haha)
Wow, that's commitment, Claire! The closest I've come to a name commitment as regards films was calling a goldfish Jaws when I was a kid.

IT IS COMMITMENT. Although,I was fucking crazy last year. Needed meds. Oops.
I'm happy to see part VI in the top 2. It truly is the best one of them all. The quality of every aspect of filmmaking went up 10 notches, going from part V to VI. I saw parts 4-6 at a triple feature at the New Beverly Cinema a few years ago. It was epic.

Jason X should be at the bottom, after the documentary. God damn it's terrible. Along with it's shitty remake. But I love 1-9. Can never get enough of it.
