Didn't expect that! Batman Begins great reintroduction to Batman, The Dark Knight the greatest superhero movie of all time, The Dark Knight Rises an overlong, self important tragedy.
What I liked, Catwoman's ears.
What I didn't like, Batman is hardly in this film. Why didn't he use any tools to fight Bane, those flying shrapnel devices from his gloves used against the Joker would have been useful. Everyone else from the previous 2 films gets a mention or is featured, you think the Joker might have deserved at least a sentence. A ticking bomb, really, that would have looked old in the Adam West series. How easy was it to get out of the prison. Marion/Talia's death scene. Robin! If your going to kill Batman at least have the balls to kill him, don't have him survive a nuclear explosion with a 6 mile radius.
Can't help but think there was a whole other plan for this film, things were set up in the last one suggesting that the Joker might have been working for someone else but the tragic death of Ledger changed the focus of this sequel.
Think since The Dark Knight Nolan started to believe his hype and Inception was a bloated mess and this is worse! Gutted.
