Really fantastic character-driven comedy, in much the same vein as McDonagh's In Bruges -- with some genuinely touching moments as well. Walken, Farrell, and Rockwell are the perfect trio, and Tom Waits does the creepy old serial killer bit amazingly.

Probably one of the best sci-fi's I've watched this year, and definitely in my Top 5 for films I've watched in the theatre. Joseph and Bruce play past and future Joe brilliantly -- I wasn't big on Levitt before but now I'm definitely sold. Really enjoyed the subtle cyberpunky touches to the setting, and that some aspects of it -- like the vagrants -- are left entirely up to the viewer's imagination.

A really intense drama -- it's been a while since a movie has made me feel as simultaneously anguished, enraged, and depressed as this one did. Gerry's story was crying out to be told and I'm glad it got such amazing service.

Probably one of my favorite werewolf movies, after Company of Wolves -- some really funny and touching moments, and FANTASTIC practical effects.
