An insanely fun and stylish '60s comic book classic. Diabolik is totally outrageous. It's honestly one of my new favorites, because Bava encapsulates the absurdities of the Bond series and period comic book films to create one that's both impressive (especially considering the $400,000 budget) and hilarious. It knows when it's going overboard, and plays to that brilliantly. The ridiculous photography and groovy Morricone score along with the too-perfect '60s lead couple are just awesome. SEE THIS.
