Good God, what a terrible, terrible film. I've seen bad films before, I even like some of them, but this was offensive. M. Night has crafted a work of pure garbage and it's clear now that he has no skill in storytelling. He's gotten lucky before and pulled it off, but while he has an eye for film, he doesn't understand them.

Chronicle is a change of pace in the superhero genre. Sure, it's still an origin story, but the simplified nature - having the supercharged high schoolers learn their powers after school and on weekends - makes it feel far more fresh than the typical superhero story. The best part? It's fun, which can often be overlooked in this over-saturated genre.
