The first Ethan Hawke film that I can remember liking. And after seven seasons of hating her on Game of Thrones, finally a reason to root for Lena Headey.

Not sure why it took me so long to finally sit down and watch this film. Anyone that knows me or has perused my movie list knows that I'm a sucker for music based films. I want to say more here, but I'm still digesting, even after a second viewing.
Does it compare to Dark Knight......I would say yes. Is it better.......probably not. Everyone plays their part exceedingly well. Nolan puts together a masterful story with a pretty decent twist at the end, for those of us not fully versed in DC comics lore. Zimmer's soundtrack is, as always, top notch. Terrible, terrible movie. Would've given it less than a single star if not for Eva Green. If she could've been the main star instead of the stiff playing Thimostocles(?) , maybe they might've salvaged this train wreck. As is, however, this is a giant mess of a film.
